- At least seven people have died and 11 others have been injured following an Israeli missile strike on a residential building in Damascus, Syria, on Tuesday, according to reports from Syrian state broadcaster SANA.
The attack, which occurred around 8:15 p.m. local time, involved three missiles targeting a structure in the densely populated Mazzeh neighborhood. Casualties include women and children, and rescue teams are continuing their efforts to extricate those trapped beneath the rubble.
Footage and images from the scene reveal severe damage to the building, with destruction also impacting nearby properties.
Smoke and flames could be seen rising from the area, as onlookers surveyed the extent of the damage and emergency vehicles responded.

The embassy condemned the missile strike, labeling it a “terrorist” act, and stated that no Iranian nationals were among the casualties.
