Harris message comparing Trump’s “enemies list” vs her “to do list” will feature
Vice President Kamala Harris’ recent comments contrasting what she calls former President Donald Trump’s “enemies list” with her “to-do list” are set to play a key role in the campaign’s final message, according to a senior campaign official.
During a CNN town hall on Wednesday, Harris emphasized this point, reiterating it on Thursday.
“You can choose a Donald Trump who sits in the Oval Office plotting revenge and writing out his enemies list, or you can choose me, responding to the needs of the people with a to-do list,” she told reporters.
This theme will be prominently featured in the closing days of the campaign, as Harris highlights key issues, such as reproductive rights, which officials believe will energize voters. “Expect to see more of it,” the official added.
On Thursday, Minnesota Governor Tim Walz echoed this argument during a campaign stop in Greenville, North Carolina, warning Democrats of the dangers posed by a Trump presidency in contrast to Harris’ vision. “With a lot of hard work over the next 12 days, we can make Kamala Harris president of the United States. That means a president for everyone, with decency, vision, and solutions. She’s got a to-do list; he’s got an enemies list,” he said.
As part of their campaign strategy, Harris’ high-profile rally in battleground Georgia marks the start of a focused effort to convey the campaign’s closing message. Officials plan to illustrate what a Harris administration would look like compared to the perceived threat from Trump, while also leveraging early voting. To capture voters’ attention, the campaign intends to feature celebrities in their outreach efforts.
